It matches perfectly, it blends flawlessly, and it’s not all too horrible for my super sensitive, acne-prone skin. If that doesn’t convince you, try to get a sample and see for yourself.
I’m talking about the Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation. It’s kind of ridiculous how most higher end brands don’t have a matching color for me. I am a cool toned, fairly pale individual for whom foundation color-matching should be a breeze. Focus word here is “should”. Surprisingly still, in 2015, most make-up companies choose to focus on only the “safe” middle range of tones, which are usually too dark and yellow for me. At the opposite end of the spectrum, they leave out a lot of the darker shades. Yes, shame on you Clinique and Estée Lauder. This is America people, your tone and color selections should be a rainbow, not a black and white movie, so to speak.
Why is it worth the $55? Because nothing blends as flawlessly and wears as well as this. I have oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin, in other words, nothing stays put. This, paired up with a good primer and setting powder wears beautifully throughout the day, does not oxidize, and is very easily touched up, if need be. It is full coverage, but still allows for my skin to look like skin instead of a cake layer and breathe. The only other foundation in existence that stays put on my skin is Revlon’s Colorstay, but equally, that stuff does not come off. It also clogs my pores which ultimately makes me break out. As much as I love it and its price point, I simply cannot wear it on a daily basis.
Don’t get me wrong, I am a firm believer in saving money on make-up, but my face is really the only area I will not sacrifice on because the make-up I put on my face ultimately affects the condition of my skin because it stays on for at least 10 hours a day.
If you’re looking for a great foundation, invest into this one. It will be perfect for all skin types and ages.
My shade is Vanilla, which is the lightest one with a pink undertone
